Taking customer credit cards - the new system at SU
New Order Forms for Accepting Customer Credit Cards
March 25, 2008
In anticipation of the upcoming release of the option to accept your
customers' credit cards and process them through Stampin' Up!, and
the increase in the minimum shipping rate, we're changing the
Customer, Hostess Benefits, and Exchange Order Forms.
Note: Look for another current update in the next few weeks
announcing the date when you can officially start accepting your
customers' credit cards and process them through Stampin' Up!
Here's how the forms are changing:
Customer Order Form and Hostess Benefits Form
Printed forms on a supply order. A new credit card section has been
added to the bottom of these forms, so we've increased the size of
printed forms to 8-1/2" x 14". These forms are still in triplicate.
Due to the increase in size, we've slightly increased the prices for
the forms.
Here are the new prices:
Customer Order Forms (50): Item 112983, $6.50.
Hostess Benefits Forms (25): Item 112990, $3.50.
Forms you download from the Demonstrator Web Site. The online
version of these forms will now be in three 8-1/2" x 11" pages to
make it easier for you to print on paper you already have--as well
as to accommodate all the necessary credit card information. The
credit card acceptance form will be a separate, second page, and you
will need to fill in the information twice--once for your customer,
and once for you. You will also be able to download this separate
credit card form to print and use with your current supply of
printed forms, if you choose.
Note: If you use the downloadable form for credit cards, please be
aware that your old printed Customer Order Forms will still have the
old shipping price.
The new minimum shipping rate will be updated on all of these forms.
Exchange Order Form
The Exchange Order Form will now only be available for you to
download and print from the Demonstrator Web Site. This form will be
in three 8-1/2" x 11" pages to make it easier for you to print on
paper you already have--as well as to accommodate all the necessary
credit card information. As with the Customer and Hostess Benefits
forms, the credit card acceptance form will be a separate, second
page, and you will need to fill in the information twice--once for
your customer, and once for you. You will also be able to download
this separate credit card form to print and use with your current
supply of printed forms, if you choose.
Note: If you use the downloadable form for credit cards, please be
aware that your old printed Exchange Order Forms will still have the
old shipping price.
When can I order the forms on a supply order?
To give you the chance to order the new forms on a supply order
before the shipping rate goes up on April 1, 2008, we're making
these available on the supply list starting March 25, 2008.
Will you provide a sticker so I can just change the old shipping
rate with the new, so I can keep using my old forms?
Because the forms are changing significantly, we will not be
providing a sticker to change the shipping rate.
Here's a major reason you cannot use the old forms:
For your customer's security, we've included an area on the credit
card form for your customer to give you permission to store her
credit card information for any of her future Stampin' Up!
purchases. In order to use your customer's credit card information
for future purchases, you must get signed permission on this form.
If you do not get this permission, you can only use the credit card
information for the order listed on the form. As we get closer to
the date you'll be able to officially accept customer credit cards
and process them through Stampin' Up!, we'll provide you with more
information about credit card information and security.
When can I download the forms from the Demonstrator Web Site?
You can download these forms from the Printing Place starting today,
March 25, 2008, and use the online versions of these forms while you
wait for your supply order to arrive.
Note: We do not quite yet accept customer credit cards, so if you
download and use these forms before that time, you will only want to
gather the customer credit card information if you currently accept
credit cards in your personal business.
