Classified ads
I'd love for us to share with each other what we or our family members do that might be of service to others in the group. This does not have to be stamp related. For
instance, if your husband makes widgets that help strap your children into their kitchen chairs, then post that here, etc.... that way if one of us might need a widget, rather than go to www.widget.com we can call your husband.
List what you/they do, how to contact, etc. Please be brief but give enough detail so we'll know what's what!
You may comment here as many different items as you wish as, just make sure it's here in this classifed post. Just like the classified section of the newspaper. If
there are two in our group that offer similar services, well, just do what's right.
Please do not add replies here that say, "Wendy Widget, please call me about
purchasing your husband's widgets". If you need a service, read the "ad" and then contact that person directly OFF the site. Questions? Please e- mail me. The only reason you should reply to this is if you are posting your own classified ad.

My name is Margot Dallstream and I'm married to the most self-reliant family I've ever come across.
- Deb Tomlinson (my sister-in-law) is a hair stylist and she has a salon in her home in Barrington. Color is her specialty -- she's great at it and economical compared to other salon prices. I love how she recently did my own highlights!!!
- Greg (my husband) has is own business doing home energy efficiency audits. If your energy bills are high, an audit can determine where you're losing energy (rarely are windows the culprit!) and he can make recommendations on how to solve those problems. If certain rooms in your home are challenging to keep warm in winter or cool in summer, his analysis can help you figure out how to make your home more comfortable.
- Mellissa Dallstream (another Sister-in-Law) is a great photographer and her day job is being a nanny so she's great with kids. She'll come to your home to take pictures of your kids or whole family. If you include photo(s) with your holiday cards, consider having Mellissa take the pictures. I love the fact that she'll snap a whole roll of film, that she has the patience to wait for the great shots, and that kids really respond favorably to her!
- Christy Dallstream (another Sister-in-Law) has her own business as a Personal Trainer. Her client base is quite diverse so she's experienced in working with people to accomplish a variety of goals (e.g. from firming up/losing weight to building strength to sports training...etc.). And she is flexible about how to structure workouts and training so you'll accomplish your goals and stay within your budget. I'm going to start training with her this month and I'm so excited because she's always fun to be with AND because I know I'm going to get great results!
- Mark Dallstream (my Brother-in-Law) is a handyman specializing in carpentry work, and hanging windows & doors. He does great work, he's good natured & charming (especially with kids), and he's easy on the eyes... looks a little bit like Brad Pitt.
Can you tell I think the world of my in-laws?! Call me at 847/381-3264 or write me in email at Dallstream@Earthlink.net if you need any of their services. I highly recommend all of them.

My husband Ed is a Professional Stand-up Comedian. He is a clean act and performs at clubs, private parties, and corporate events throughout the Midwest. Ed's website is http://www.specialedcomedy.com. Ed also books comedians for private parties, corporate events, etc.
If you are interested in booking a Stand-up Comedian for your event, you can contact Ed 847-223-4070. Ed's stage name is Special Ed so don't be surprised when he answers the phone that way. (His stage name is Special Ed but he does not make fun of LD folks.) Tell him you got his name and number through me!
Thanks! Lynne
